PNB Photoshoot for The Kickstarter! | Starting a Kickstarter Day #25

I’ve just a recap for day so I’ve over some of the things I did today it was a big planning day actually it’s a little of those days where I’ve shown you my planning process another one of those days I planned out a bunch of thing well the big thing the plan is this is the week leading up to the Kickstarter so I started teasing people with different things I started saying hey or one week out or you know we’re six days out we’re four days out or at least I started the planning process of the season the next thing is taking pictures for the gift server to a lot of pictures for the Kickstarter we got mostly milk pictures we got were pictures of how to eat if we have it on is the seal bread spoon so it feels like a healthy kind of bread we got it in cos you took a picture of it mixed in with coffee we also got it on App and one of the big lesson learned from Kay was take pictures outside preferably if you can think of an hour which is like an hour or two before sunset or hour to after sunrise best time to do it but it’s really hard to make a good lighting inside I’ll try to put it in a picture right here of one of the pictures

I took inside which is really bad lighting and then here’s one picture set up outside wait better lighting specifically with the apps I mean I did the different fiction different apples so the other thing I did was taking pictures of Kickstarter I also got turning other pictures to I think I got like some mock-up pictures things I would say (more…)

Influencer’s Jar of PNB! | Starting a Kickstarter Day #24

Alright is a day 24 today I’m going to be writing out thank-you cards or like little like influence or cards. So what’s going to happen is I’m setting up the influencer jars and what it’s going to be you think of like an inside of it’ll be inside a black box and inside the black box will be white treaded tissue paper and the black box itself really nice you know I think they cost me like a dollar to a piece and it’s got it’s all black and it’s got a you know a black top think of like a cupcake box and I’m going to actually have choking. So inside the box there is the shredded tissue paper I’m going to put the jar inside there then I’m put the cap on top of top on top and then use a ribbon like a really nice like self-type ribbon to tie a little bow and put one of these cards in this card I’ll write a nice little note fold it in half and then round the edges just keep that little added touch that’ll go in on the bow and I hope is it’ll make it really easy for them to read I think if I had just a note somewhere else inside the box they probably wouldn’t read it because it’s just they want to get to their jar but does they need to see it in order to unwrap the bow like satin ribbon they’re going to definitely do it.

It’s going to be black box with a black satin red ribbon inside the jar in the shredded paper. So today that’s the big thing I’m going to be doing is writing out of these right around of these influences of cards the (more…)

How To Start an Online Clothing Store in 3 Steps

In this video I’m gonna tell you the three steps you need to do to start an online clothing store and I have an online clothing. So it’s done over one and a half million dollars in revenue. So I have a good idea on how you can start an online clothing store or e-commerce or whatever you want to call it.. So the first step is get a shopping cart or some kind of a platform that you can create your store on second step is create your store and third step is get traffic to your store or get customers to your store now I’ll share some bonus tips at the end of this video but let’s go over each one of these one two three and how you can do it successfully:

  1. Figuring out what shopping cart left platform you want to use now until you went to the gate I recommend Shopify in all serious store owners I know you Shopify now you could also use good commerce very similar Shopify is better for reasons I’ll talk about in a separate video most specifically there’s better tools that are add-ons that are apps that you can use with it and WooCommerce is another option that you want might want to use if you’re trying to save money but I wouldn’t recommend it. So if you really are just trying to experiment you’re not trying to build this into a real company maybe WooCommerce is right for you but it’s a lot of people think it’s free it’s not free you still have to pay for the hosting. So what WooCommerce is you get a WordPress site and then you add on to it WooCommerce. So it is not a free option and I’d say if you’re serious (more…)

Getting the Word Out! | Starting a Kickstarter Day #23

It’s a beautiful day here today in Santa Monica I’m I think it’s day  I’m working on the Kickstarter I woke up a little bit early and working for a few hours already but I had to get outside because it’s just I mean it’s amazing today. So these are the lemon trees I showed yesterday. So one of the things I like to walk I want to take a walk every day and I come over to this park check out on the lemon trees but anyways let’s get back to business. So I have a list of things like I showed yesterday as well that I write down every day. So I’ve already done some of these the first one was emails I in MailChimp I created a bunch of newsletters for different groups. So I have my how to do your s email newsletter group I created an email for them saying hey go join the performance and up at our launch group send the same email out to the effective e-commerce list and I’m going to send out a similar one to friends and family on top of that the people that have already signed up for the performance nut butter list I did not tell all of them about the Kickstarter or the Kickstarter the product page I the Facebook you know product launch page that’s the way to say it.

Some of them I didn’t tell because basically what I did is I’d send them an email as soon as people sign up for the board the email thing saying hey you know my name is Travis follow blah this is what I you know this is a little bit about the product what do you do for fun and people that responded to that email (more…)

My Daily Routine | Starting a Kickstarter Day #22

This is day 22 I believe it’s that come I’m going to do some actually walk you through my daily routine now I don’t always wake up this early it’s about like I woke up around 6:00 now but if you’re going to show you what I usually do in my morning. So I hugely wake up at some time I’ll make some tea I got some turmeric tea. So I do a non-caffeinated thing because caffeine just like really screws from easily it’s the recent tea and get on Amazon obviously like I get everything on Amazon except for groceries. So that’s what I do I do that and usually sit outside I’ll show you a scene of that go do some yoga meditation at the park follow them a little bit of that it’s a little it’s already a little bit weird to be out there I’ve put on headphones and you kind of forget that there’s other people around even though there’s not a ton of other people around but when somebody walks by sometimes it’s a little you know it’s a little awkward but not a huge deal because Santa Monica. So like who cares I do that and then I start working and I’m gonna I’m gonna walk you through the whole day today I think it might be kind of an interesting saying if nothing else for me to have for the future but I’m sure there’s at least one person out there who might be interested in this and one of the good things about doing this vlogging is it kind of makes you be like an ideal version of yourself and what I mean by that is I woke up this morning I kind of wanted to go to the bed but I (more…)

How to Design Your Website and What Colors to Use

In this lesson I’m going to teach you how to design your website we’re going talk about what colors you should use as well that’s a pretty important element as you know on my site I use a lot of pink and you’ll understand why in just a second why that is but in this lesson we’re really going to talk about how to design your website because that’s something a lot of people get hung up on. So some of the things we’re going to talk about within this lesson are what colors to use how to leverage your competitor sites data and this is a real key thing I talked about it already in the intro but this is really key we’re also going to talk how to leverage similar sites data. So maybe your your customers also shop at Macy’s calm or other similar sites maybe it’s best buy calm and I’m going to show you how you can actually research their what they’re doing and use that to your advantage and last we’re going to talk about designing your site to convert I’ve talked about this a hundred times I mean the only purpose of your Ecommerce site is to make people into buyers make them into customers. So we’ll talk about that more later. So first up what colors to use. So here’s a chart of a bunch of different colors the main primary colors and what their meaning is. So depending on what kind of thing you’re selling or what kind of message you’re trying to get across you might want to use different colors. So I did up using pink which as you can see represents tenderness sensitive emotional sympathetic love those are the big things I was trying to convey with my website (more…)

Random Tasks of Starting a Kickstarter | Starting a Kickstarter Day #21

All right So this is the video for day to be honest I actually forgot that filming yesterday I’m just going to give you a recap of what I did yesterday I got a lot of things done one of the things that’s different is I actually woke up early. So I put an air conditioner in my window and funny enough that allowed the noises from the birds to get in. So when the Sun comes up I got up and I went to bed early on Sunday night. So waking up early on Monday was not a huge deal but I was just fueled I mean I got you know you probably can’t read that from there but I got like I wrote a list of things to get done and usually if I write things I only get like of them done but I got pretty much all of them done. So here’s what I did today and/or I guess technically this was yesterday day what I did on day and actually you know I’ll tell you from the lesson learned and whatever.

So one of the big things as I followed up on the by jar I’m out sourced that which was the best thing I could have done he’s going to do a way better job on the label than I ever could have done the next thing was I actually went to up work and I did a competition to see if somebody wanted to get the by label job but I ended up just going with the same guy that did the logo design I trust him and he’s doing good work. So far. So I’m happy with that I put on here to apply to my LLC I did not do (more…)

The Making of the Kickstarter Trailer Video Day 2 | Starting a Kickstarter Day #20

What a long day the end of day this is their filmed most of my Kickstarter video I mean we filmed a little bit yesterday but most of it was filmed today and I gotta say it was a really cool process I looked really good at my soup throw in some pictures of that is I think. So but I’m a little bit biased um no it’s fun to wear a suit as a entrepreneur that works from home I don’t ever get to wear a suit and I kind of miss it and I want to start doing that every one small going out to dinners put on a little suit anyway getting sidetracked here. So some of the big things we did we filmed everything all the inside the gym scenes to day we had a place booked for 7 hours went down to Eddie goes Gardena I was definitely a little bit you know well it wasn’t an awful area but it wasn’t definitely not as nice as Santa Monica I love it here anyways. So we filmed some stuff I we had Zach do some really cool boxing scenes we had hailey do some cool stuff we ended up getting a great picture for the Kickstarter and this is something I recommend doing if you’re doing a Kickstarter how to be as budget as possible we already had it all set up. So I ended up having Haley like just holding the performance nut butter here like she was gonna rip it it was good because we got some of her stomach in it and it was it was somewhat sexual looking without being over-the-top sexual which is good I mean people are naturally attracted to images of the female body it’s looking on YouTube (more…)

The Making of the Kickstarter Trailer Video Day 1 | Starting a Kickstarter Day #19

Alright here’s a quick recap of day 19 Wow day 19 already geez. So the big things I did today in day 19 was start the filming process we actually got some really cool outside scene on the cut to it right here or I have my VA do it actually because he’s amazing. So here’s some of the different outside scenes we had some jogging scenes and punching scenes some yoga scenes outside we went up to pang a canyon which was amazing we want to hang a canyon to do the filming ended up being a beautiful day. So that was great been my DP took care of all this our two actors AK and Haley were there I actually I have a bunch of footage of me talking about it let me just give some lessons learned right now and then we’ll cut through to the footage of Zack Haley doing their thing some behind the scenes work of my first day this is my first ever hiring somebody to do a project for me.

That was really cool you know but the total cost I don’t know if I’m supposed to share it but it was under five thousand dollars the cost of the video and that includes renting the equipment that includes a life alone or five hundred dollars the location for tomorrow day two was eight hundred dollars. So it’s just I and the bigger thing for me is been the DP took care of all the hassle I really thought even when I hired someone to do the filming I was still going to have to find the actors and actresses find all the help and go get all the gear now I took care of all of it money well-spent it reminded me (more…)

7 Steps to Designing Your Online Ecommerce Store Website

Thank goodness that the world wide web is already filled with beautiful and informative websites, so that you can build an ecommerce website devoted to sales. Effective e-commerce guru Travis Marziani shares his experience designing websites that maximize conversion rates. Follow the steps below when you design your ecommerce website to optimize online revenues.

1. Don’t Make Me Think

Don’t make the user think, by making site navigation as a simple and intuitive as possible. Research shows that once online visitors have to think about site navigation, they jumpstart the cognitive part of their brain. They start thinking about whether they really need a product, which is a tougher sell than an impulse buy.

Make sure that a non tech savvy person can find their way around your website. Travis encourages you to use the “Mom test.” Let your mother be the test by attempting to make an unassisted purchase from your website.

One common mistake is not putting the shopping cart above the fold, ie: near the top of the page. If a customer cannot effortlessly find the checkout page, they are more likely to leave your website.

2. Look at Your Competitors Websites

If you are starting out, you may not have the budget for a lot of market research. Check out big retailers and mimic their well researched websites. Successful online retailers such as Amazon and Walmart have spent fortunes testing the most effective color combinations and field locations to boost sales. You might as well profit from their experience imitating the look and feel of their websites.

3. Review Websites Your Demographic Buys From

It pays to do a little market research of your own. Teenagers, sports enthusiasts, Moms all have their own aesthetic comfort zone that may differ from your own. Take the time to analyze popular websites that your target audience typically visit, (more…)
