How to Launch a Product using Kickstarter

In this video, we’re going to talk about how to launch a product using Kickstarter this is a question I’ve been getting a lot a lot ate a lot recently. So I decided to make a video to answer this question in depth and if you don’t know I actually documented I launched a Kickstarter just a little while ago and I documented the entire process I did it in 30 working days.

So I worked for 30 days and launched this Kickstarter for performance nut butter and then I even vlog during the whole 30 days of the Kickstarter. So I shared all my secrets but let me just still down 30 days’ worth of information into this one video how do you launch a Kickstarter that will work but will get funded you’ll make a lot of money. So I set a lofty goal for this company performance, not butter I set the goal at $10000, which to a lot of people is crazy and I actually ended up raising $15000, and it is 100% because of my strategy I have two strategies I’m going to share with you guys. So it’s a two-pronged approach here and they’re both very different the first one is collecting emails and I’ll just give a brief overview collecting emails which is obviously creating a drip campaign but there’s one element that most people don’t do is also creating a Facebook group.

So collect emails dip them into a Facebook group and then create a drip campaign both email drip campaign and a Facebook group drip campaign. So let me talk about this in detail because I’m. So sick of answering this question in person to people I just wanted to make this video and let’s start off with the very basics. So you want (more…)

How to Set Up A Google Shopping Campaign To Create Product Listing Ads

In this module we’re going to talk about product listing ads which is one of my favorite types of ads it’s one of my favorite types of PPC ads it’s actually one of my favorite types a ways to get traffic to my website. So let’s talk about some product listing ads. So first off why product listing ads well they’re made for e-commerce and I mean this right here you can see why they have a price underneath a product it’s just it’s perfect for e-commerce it signals a strong buying intent when someone’s looking at a regular text ad AdWords ad they may be just searching for more information they might be looking for a hundred different things but with these it’s more likely to be people that are ready to buy it has the price underneath it has the picture it really signals that hey if someone’s clicking on this they’re committing to buying something or they’re at least more likely to be interested in buying something. So what are PLA is I kind of already showed you but let’s make it very obvious here these are PLA s and as you can see its images with underneath it you have the title of what’s in there. So if you look at the first one it’s yellow dance pants and then the price underneath there. So this is $31.99.

And then ultimately underneath that it has the websites Bdancewear.com my website. So once again these product listing ads are great for converting people because some of those clicking on one of these is much more likely to buy compared that with like a regular text ad below. So this one that says yellow dance pants sale someone might click on that because they’re interested in and buying actually (more…)

How To Create a Custom Audience For Facebook Ads Using a Customer File

In this video I’m going to show you how to create an audience from your customer list and this is really helpful. So this is my customer list this is actually my VIP customer list here. So these are people that have spent over twenty fifty dollars with me I’m obviously I’m hiding their emails and phone numbers but that’ll be very important and I already have a list but let’s say we were to start a new list you’d go to create audience create custom audience customer file copy and paste or if you want you can just do you can add the CSV file. So we’ll look at the data here you might need to expand it out but basically you’re gonna copy and paste it into there and with a copy and paste and I recommend doing both phone number and email because some people use a phone number and some people use their email but phone number tends to be more accurate. So let’s go ahead and paste it in there see what happens there you go you can see the full thing right there I should probably hide that but that’s okay and then go to next phone number upload and create and that is it you’re done.

An Unexpected Meeting with Ben Greenfield | Starting a Kickstarter Day #7

I have a number of new updates for you and I am really excited. This one big update just happened so maybe I will start with that.  If you have been following this series, you know that I have been reaching out to influencers. I have been sending emails to them trying to interview them on my podcast as a way of building relationships well.

That is a great way of doing it but an even better way is meeting people in person. I just met Ben Greenfield in person. If you do not know who that is, suffice it to say that he is a big deal in the fitness industry, in the health industry. Let me tell you the story of how I met him because I think it is really cool. It was totally, just almost by accident. A coincidence you could say. I am still actually smiling from this experience.

It is kind of funny how it all came full circle through the How to do Your 20’s podcast. I initially interviewed a guy named Dr. Andrew Hill who owns a supplement company that helps with brain performance. He is a PhD in neuroscience and also owns what is called Peak Brain Institute over in Culver City, California and is a great influencer in that sphere. The interview was awesome.

As a result of my interview of Dr. Hill, he invited me to go the Institute and train for free. This has been one of the highlights of my year so far. On top of that, I had my brain scanned about a week ago. Since then I have been playing basically video games with my brain to help train my brain, make my brain stronger. You could say it is a little more complicated than that, obviously, but as (more…)

Should You Make Your Business an LLC, SCorp or DBA?

In this video, we are going to talk about whether you should make your online business an SCorp, an LLC, a DBA or something else like that. So, let’s get right down to it.

First of all, if you are a sole proprietor, meaning that you are the only person that owns the business, and it is a small company that is doing say $500,000, what I have been told is to do it as a DBA. Now, this assumes that there is no kind of liability. If you do your business as a DBA, which stands for “doing business as,” you are not going to be protected. If someone wants to sue your business they can sue you as well. Now, that is pretty rare. However, if you are selling, for instance, something that people eat, then you might want to seek the protection of an LLC. Additionally, if you are doing something where there is the potential that someone is going to get really hurt and be able to sue, you might want to do it as an LLC. But, if it is something like, for instance, Effective ECommerce, which is my consulting company where people are probably not going to be able to sue me, there is not a lot of harm in doing it as a DBA.

One of the benefits of a DBA is that you are only going to pay $99.00 to LegalZoom.com to fill out the paperwork. Now compare that with an LLC or an SCorp, and every state is different but it is almost always more expensive to be an SCorp or an LLC. The $99.00 will get you, I think it is like three to four years as, a DBA and then you will need to renew it every three to four years

Compare that (more…)
